A Novel Robust Interacting Multiple Model Algorithm for Maneuvering Target Tracking

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2017
In this paper, the state estimation problem for discrete-time jump Markov systems is considered. A minimax filtering technique, interacting multiple model algorithm based on game theory, is developed for discrete-time stochastic systems.

Improved interacting multiple model algorithm airport surface target tracking based on geomagnetic sensors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2020
To avoid the inherent defects of current airport surface surveillance systems, a distributed non-cooperative surface surveillance scheme based on geomagnetic sensor technology is proposed in this article.

Interacting Multiple Model Filter with a Maximum Correntropy Criterion for GPS Navigation Processing

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
In order to deal with the uncertainty of measurement noise, particularly for outlier types of multipath interference and non-line of sight (NLOS) reception, this paper proposes a novel method for processing the navigation states of the Global Positioning

Phase structure of a two-fluid bosonic system

open access: yes, 2005
The phase diagram of a two-fluid bosonic system is investigated. The proton-neutron interacting boson model (IBM-2) possesses a rich phase structure involving three control parameters and multiple order parameters.

A frailty model for interaction between multiple events

open access: yesJournal of Multivariate Analysis, 2013
Most models for categorical data rely on linear models in which higher order interactions are limited, usually to second order terms. Here we explore a dataset where second order interactions lead unavoidably to high order interactions. However in certain cases these interactions have a simple form which can be explained by population heterogeneity or '

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Non-Fermi liquid behavior in transport across carbon nanotube quantum dots

open access: yes, 2006
A low energy-theory for non-linear transport in finite-size single-wall carbon nanotubes, based on a microscopic model for the interacting pz electrons and successive bosonization, is presented.
