The interleukin-1 receptor associated kinase 1 contributes to the regulation of NFAT [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Immunology, 2008
IRAK-1 is a critical modulator regulating innate immunity signaling processes. However, the physiological substrates for IRAK-1 remain poorly defined. In this report, we have demonstrated that IRAK-1 is a kinase responsible for the constitutive phosphorylation and inactivation of the Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cell (NFAT).

Design of Novel IRAK4 Inhibitors Using Molecular Docking, Dynamics Simulation and 3D-QSAR Studies

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Treatment of several autoimmune diseases and types of cancer has been an intense area of research over the past two decades. Many signaling pathways that regulate innate and/or adaptive immunity, as well as those that induce overexpression or mutation of

Fluorescence fluctuation analysis of Arabidopsis thaliana somatic embryogenesis receptor-like kinase and brassinosteroid insensitive 1 receptor ologomerization. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Receptor kinases play a key role in the cellular perception of signals. To verify models for receptor activation through dimerization, an experimental system is required to determine the precise oligomerization status of proteins within living cells ...

Translocation of the interleukin‐1 receptor‐associated kinase‐1 (IRAK‐1) into the nucleus [PDF]

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 2000
Interleukin‐1 (IL‐1) signal transduction involves the recruitment of the IL‐1 receptor‐associated kinase‐1 (IRAK‐1). Subsequent signaling finally leads to nuclear translocation of NFκB. We here show that the association and autophosphorylation of IRAK‐1 was already detectable 30 s after IL‐1 stimulation of ECV 304 cells.

A comprehensive analysis of interleukin-4 receptor polymorphisms and their association with atopy and IgE regulation in childhood [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Background: The interleukin (IL) 4/IL13 pathway is involved in the regulation of IgE production associated with atopic diseases. Numerous polymorphisms have been identified in the coding region of the IL4 receptor alpha chain (IL4Ra) and previous ...

Design of a Novel and Selective IRAK4 Inhibitor Using Topological Water Network Analysis and Molecular Modeling Approaches

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Protein kinases are deeply involved in immune-related diseases and various cancers. They are a potential target for structure-based drug discovery, since the general structure and characteristics of kinase domains are relatively well-known.

The interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinases: Critical regulators of innate immune signalling [PDF]

open access: yesBiochemical Pharmacology, 2010
The interleukin receptor-associated kinase (IRAK) family are involved in regulating Toll-like receptor (TLR) and interleukin-1 (IL-1) signalling pathways. TLRs are pattern recognition receptors of the innate immune response that are responsible for sensing pathogens and initiating immunity, while IL-1 is one of the key cytokines that mediates ...

Mechanism of the fungal-like particles in the inhibition of adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The dynamic ability of adipocytes in adipose tissue to store lipid in response to changes in the nutritional input and inflammatory elicitors has a major impact on human health.
