SEQATOMS: a web tool for identifying missing regions in PDB in sequence context. [PDF]
With over 46 000 proteins, the Protein Data Bank (PDB) is the most important database with structural information of biological macromolecules. PDB files contain sequence and coordinate information. Residues present in the sequence can be absent from the

Troponin plays a central role in regulation of muscle contraction. It is the Ca2+ switch of striated muscles including the heart and in the cardiac muscle is physiologically modulated by PKA-dependent phosphorylation at Ser22 and 23.

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Phosphorylation of Intrinsically Disordered Regions in Remorin Proteins
Plant-specific remorin proteins reside in subdomains of plasma membranes, originally termed membrane rafts. They probably facilitate cellular signal transduction by direct interaction with signalling proteins such as receptor-like kinases (RLKs) and may ...

IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.
