Synthesis, characterization and biological behavior of some Schiff's and Mannich base derivatives of Lamotrigine

open access: yesArabian Journal of Chemistry, 2017
A series of various Schiff's and Mannich base derivatives (N1–2 & ND1–6) of Lamotrigine with isatin and substituted isatin were synthesized to get more potent anticonvulsant agents.

Integrating Catalysis and Analysis: Accelerated Asymmetric Reaction Development With a Multitasking Reactivity Umpolung/Chiroptical Reporter Auxiliary

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A readily available isatin molecule serves as amine protecting group, reagent for reactivity Umpolung, and as chiroptical yield and enantioselectivity reporter to enable chromatography‐free high‐throughput optimization of an organocatalytic asymmetric Michael addition solely based on the analysis of UV and circular dichroism inductions that are ...

Facile synthesis of Schiff and Mannich bases of isatin derivatives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We report herein on the synthesis of some isatin Schiff’s bases (1–11), which were prepared from the reaction of isatin and some aromatic amines. These in turn were converted to the corresponding Mannich bases (12-23) by reaction with a number of ...

The BioColour Library

open access: yesColoration Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract The attraction of adopting natural and bio‐based colourants in applications has grown, but their use suffers from a lack of certification bodies, standards and reference data. In the BioColour project, we are developing an open database and tools for the characterisation, authentication and quality analysis of biocolourant sources ...

A Modified Indigo Method for the Determination of Ozone in Nonaqueous Solvents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The indigo method for the analysis of aqueous ozone was modified to allow analysis of dissolved ozone in nonaqueous liquid phases. The method was tested using the solvent decamethylcyclopentasiloxane 245 and a vegetable oil. The molar absorptivity at 600

Indirubin as a red hair Colourant from Indigofera tinctoria L.

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
An immediate stable red colour result after application of Indigofera tinctoria L. on hair in the presence of isatin and a reducing agent was achieved. A revised indigo molecule and indirubin synthesis pathway for I. tinctoria L. application including the effect of said additives to the colour outcome is presented.
