Fibronectin Isoforms in Megakaryocytes [PDF]
Our studies have shown that megakaryocytes (MK) can synthesize fibronectin (FN) and alternatively spliced fibronectin, FN EIIIB. FN EIIIB is primarily present in embryonic, proliferating and migrating cells, and thought to be important for cell maturation.

Alternative polyadenylation (APA) generates mRNA isoforms and diversifies gene expression. Here we report the discovery that the mTORC1 signaling pathway balances the expression of two Trim9/TRIM9 isoforms through APA regulation in human and mouse.

AbstractFOXO family of proteins are transcription factors involved in many physiological and pathological processes including cellular homeostasis, stem cell maintenance, cancer, metabolic, and cardiovascular diseases. Genetic evidence has been accumulating to suggest a prominent role of FOXOs in lifespan regulation in animal systems from hydra, C ...

Nanopore long-read RNAseq reveals transcriptional variations in citrus species
The number of studies on plant transcriptomes using ONT RNAseq technology is rapidly increasing in recent. It is a powerful method to decipher transcriptomic complexity, particularly alternative splicing (AS) event detection.

IDEIS: a tool to identify PTPRC/CD45 isoforms from single-cell transcriptomic data
Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) methods are widely used in life sciences, including immunology. Typical scRNA-seq analysis pipelines quantify the abundance of particular transcripts without accounting for alternative splicing.

Lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] is a risk factor for CVD and a target of therapy, but Lp(a) measurements are not globally standardized. Commercially available assays generally use polyclonal antibodies that detect multiple sites within the kringle (K)IV2 repeat ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Laminin isoforms and lung development: All isoforms are not equal
Laminins are a major component of basement membranes. Each laminin molecule is a heterotrimeric glycoprotein composed of one alpha, one beta, and one gamma chain. Fifteen laminin isoforms exist, assembled from various combinations of 5alpha, 3beta, and 3gamma chains. The embryonic lung has abundant laminin isoforms.
