isoQUINOLINE DERIVATIVES. PART III [PDF]

open access: green, 1957
In contrast with the earlier observation (Ghosh and Dutta, this Journal, 1955, 32, 17, 755) that treatment of (a-acetamido-β-phenyl)-etbylmethyl ketone and of β-phenyl-substituted analogues with POCI3 or conc. H2SO4 leads to the formation of I-methylisoquinoline derivatives, accompanied with dehydrogenation and deacetylation, (α-scetamido-β-phenyl ...

Photoredox Catalysts Based on N-(Hexyl)benzothioxanthene-3,4-dicarboximide for Photopolymerization and 3D Printing Under Visible Light. [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl
In this work, two benzothioxanthene imide dyes demonstrate excellent photochemical properties. When used as photocatalysts, they work with amine and iodonium salt or sulfonium salt to form different three‐component systems for effectively initiating photopolymerization under visible light, through photoredox catalysis processes.

Dissociative Photoionization of Quinoline and Isoquinoline [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2015
Two nitrogen-containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon isomers of C9H7N composition, quinoline, and isoquinoline have been studied by imaging photoelectron photoion coincidence spectroscopy at the VUV beamline of the Swiss Light Source. High resolution threshold photoelectron spectra have been recorded and are interpreted applying a Franck-Condon ...

Biosynthesis of Isoquinoline Alkaloids [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Medica, 1979
The isoquinoline alkaloids and their biosynthetic relatives include many compounds which show important physiological properties in animals: dopamine, mescaline, morphine, papaverine, and narcotine are pertinent examples. The biosynthetic routes to the members of this family start from the essential aminoacids tyrosine or phenylalanine. Decarboxylation

Rapid Methylation of Aryl Bromides Using Air‐Stable DABCO‐Bis(Trimethylaluminum) via Nickel Metallaphotoredox Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Herein, we report the use of bis(trimethylaluminum)‐1,4‐diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABAl‐Me3) as practical source of radicals for the introduction of valuable methyl groups to aryl bromides via a Nickel/metallaphotocatalytic cross coupling strategy.

Dopaminergic isoquinolines with hexahydrocyclopenta[ ij ]-isoquinolines as D 2 -like selective ligands

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2016
Dopamine receptors (DR) ligands are potential drug candidates for treating neurological disorders including schizophrenia or Parkinson's disease. Three series of isoquinolines: (E)-1-styryl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolines (series 1), 7-phenyl-1,2,3,7,8,8a-hexahydrocyclopenta[ij]-IQs (HCPIQs) (series 2) and (E)-1-(prop-1-en-1-yl)-1,2,3,4 ...
