Isoquinoline alkaloids

Neurochemical Research, 1978
Representatives of eleven different classes of isoquinoline alkaloids inhibit Na+, K+-ATPase and Mg2+-ATPase in rat brain microsomal preparations. In most cases the Na+, K+-ATPase is more sensitive than Mg2+-ATPase to inhibition by the alkaloids.

Isoquinoline alkaloids as prolyl oligopeptidase inhibitors

Fitoterapia, 2015
Prolyl oligopeptidase is a cytosolic serine peptidase that hydrolyses proline-containing peptides at the carboxy terminus of proline residues. It has been associated with schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, and related neuropsychiatric disorders and therefore may have important clinical implications.

Isoquinoline alkaloids from Platycapnos

Phytochemistry, 1991
Abstract The genus Platycapnos differs from all other genera of the Fumariaceae in its alkaloid composition. The morphinandienone sinoacutine is the major alkaloid in the perennial P. saxicola while the annual species of the genus, P. spicata , P. tenuiloba subsp. tenuiloba and P. tenuiloba subsp. parallela contain high concentrations of

Quaternary isoquinoline alkaloids from Xylopia parviflora

Phytochemistry, 2004
From the quaternary alkaloidal fraction of the bark and the root of Xylopia parviflora (Annonaceae), four isoquinoline alkaloids, xylopinidine, dehydrocoreximine, N, N-dimethylanomurine and N-methylphoebine were isolated along with the known compounds, pycnarrhine, lotusine, 6,7-dimethoxy-2-methyl-isoquinolinium salt, 1,2-dehydroreticuline ...
