Regenerative Braking Control Strategy Based on AI Algorithm to Improve Driving Comfort of Autonomous Vehicles

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Recent studies on autonomous vehicles focus on improving driving efficiency and ignore driving comfort. Because acceleration and jerk affect driving comfort, we propose a comfort regenerative braking system (CRBS) that uses artificial neural networks as ...

Accurate Tracking of Aggressive Quadrotor Trajectories using Incremental Nonlinear Dynamic Inversion and Differential Flatness

open access: yes, 2020
Autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that can execute aggressive (i.e., high-speed and high-acceleration) maneuvers have attracted significant attention in the past few years.

Noncommutative Sprott systems and their jerk dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2018
In this paper, we provide the noncommutative Sprott models. We demonstrate, that effectively, each of them is described by a system of three complex, ordinary and nonlinear differential equations. Apart from that, we find for such modified models the corresponding (noncommutative) jerk dynamics as well as we study numerically as an example, the ...

Simple finite-time sliding mode control approach for jerk systems

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2019
This article describes an easy way to apply active control upon all jerk systems for which the linear part of the third-order differential jerk equation strongly depends on acceleration and velocity.

Mechatronics of a ball screw drive using a N degrees of freedom dynamic model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
High performance position control in machine tools can only be achieved modelling the dynamic behavior of the mechatronic system composed by the motor, transmission and control during the design stage.

MIMO jerk derivative feedforward for motion systems [PDF]

open access: yes2006 American Control Conference, 2006
This paper shows that flexible modes in motion systems result in residual dynamics that can not be reduced using conventional acceleration feedforward and static decoupling. When reference trajectories with low frequency excitation are applied, low frequency tracking errors and cross-talk errors occur as peaks during jerk phases of a motion.
