Lung adenocarcinoma patients with KEAP1 mutation harboring low immune cell infiltration and low activity of immune environment

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, 2021
Background Kelch‐like ECH‐associated protein 1 (KEAP1) has been identified as a cancer driver gene in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), and increased evidence has given us clues about the association of KEAP1 mutation and immune characteristics.

Keap1 is degraded with IKKβ by autophagy.

open access: yes, 2018
(A) Expression of Keap1 promoted IKKβ degradation and Keap1 is degraded concomitant with IKKβ. HEK293 cells were transfected with wild type HA-KKβ and Flag-Keap1. After 18 h of transfection, 10 μg/ml CHX was added to cell culture.

Dietary Glutamine Supplementation Alleviated Rumen Epithelium Oxidative Damage and Apoptosis Induced by Feed Restriction via Maintaining Mitochondrial Homeostasis in Female Yaks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary glutamine (Gln) supplementation increased the ATP levels and promoted cell proliferation in the rumen epithelium of feed‐restricted yaks. Besides, Gln inhibited ROS accumulation and reduced oxidative damage and apoptosis in the rumen epithelium of feed‐restricted yaks.

CPDT and SF block only Keap1-mediated Nrf2 degradation and require key cysteine residues of Keap1.

open access: yes, 2012
(A) Murine embryonic fibroblasts (MEF), including wild type MEF (Keap1+/+) and MEF with Keap1 knockout (Keap1−/−), were treated with vehicle, MG132 (25 µM), CPDT (50 µM) or SF (8 µM) for 6 h. Cells were then harvested for IB of Nrf2 and GAPDH.

Comprehensive Characterization of Acer truncatum Leaf Extract: Identification of Systemic Metabolites and Effects on Performance, Antioxidant Status, and Intestinal Microbiota in Laying Hens

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary A. truncatum leaf extract is absorbed and improves laying performance in aged hens by enhancing systemic antioxidant capacity and modulating the gut microbiota. ABSTRACT The demand for natural feed additives is considerably increasing in the antibiotic‐free feed era.

Development of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for Keap1-Nrf2 interaction inhibitors identification

open access: yesRedox Biology, 2020
Development of Keap1–Nrf2 interaction inhibitors is a promising strategy for the discovery of therapeutic agents against oxidative stress-mediated diseases. Two motifs of Nrf2, ETGE and DLG motif, are responsible for Keap1-Nrf2 binding.
