Metabolic Reprogramming of T Cells by Dual UCP2 and IL‐17 Blockade Enhances Immunity Against Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
This study demonstrates that dual UCP2/IL‐17 blockade reprograms T‐cell metabolism to overcome PDAC immunosuppression. Genipin‐mediated UCP2 inhibition enhances CD8⁺ T‐cell IFN‐γ via IL‐12R/STAT4/mTOR signaling and mitochondrial OXPHOS. Combined IL‐17 depletion amplifies Tc1/Th1 responses, reduces MDSCs, and prolongs survival in PDAC models ...

Discovery and Initial Investigation of a New Low Surface Brightness Planetary Nebula Candidate at High Galactic Latitude

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 347, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Planetary nebulae represent a late evolutionary phase of low‐ to intermediate‐mass stars. In this article, we present the serendipitous discovery of a previously unknown, faint potential Galactic planetary nebula (PN) in the constellation Camelopardalis, identified during a survey‐inspection, aiming at the detection of dwarf companions of the ...

Neutrophil‐to‐Lymphocyte Ratio as a Prognostic Factor of Survival Outcomes in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma Receiving Neoadjuvant Immunotherapy

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose The neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is a prognostic marker in cancers treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI), reflecting the link between inflammation and cancer immune response. This study examines NLR's prognostic value in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patients receiving neoadjuvant ICI therapy, focusing

Constraints on the distance to SGR 1806-20 from HI absorption

open access: yes, 2005
The giant flare detected from the magnetar SGR 1806-20 on 2004 December 27 had a fluence more than 100 times higher than the only two other SGR flares ever recorded.

Impact of Bariatric Surgery on Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation Outcomes

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 3, Page 1536-1543, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective The effectiveness of hypoglossal nerve stimulation (HGNS) for residual obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in patients with prior bariatric surgery (BS) has not been previously reported. We evaluate and compare HGNS outcomes in this unique population.

The Distances of SNR W41 and overlapping HII regions

open access: yes, 2007
New HI images from the VLA Galactic Plane Survey show prominent absorption features associated with the supernovae remnant G23.3-0.3 (SNR W41). We highlight the HI absorption spectra and the $^{13}$CO emission spectra of eight small regions on the face ...

Generalized quasi‐geostrophic equation in critical Lorentz–Besov spaces, based on maximal regularity

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, Volume 299, Issue 3, Page 637-660, March 2026.
Abstract We consider the quasi‐geostrophic equation with its principal part (−Δ)α${(-\mathrm{\Delta})^{\alpha}}$ for α>1/2$\alpha >1/2$ in Rn$\mathbb {R}^n$ with n≥2$n \ge 2$. We show that for every initial data θ0∈Ḃr,q1−2α+nr$\theta _0 \in \dot{B}^{1-2\alpha + \frac{n}{r}}_{r, q}$ with 1
