Structure and Mechanism of PhdC, a Prenylated‐Flavin Maturase

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 94, Issue 5, Page 1019-1029, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Prenylated flavin mononucleotide (prFMN) is a modified flavin cofactor required by the UbiD family of (de)carboxylase enzymes. While the reduced prFMNH2 form is produced by the flavin prenyltransferase UbiX, the corresponding two‐electron oxidized prFMNiminium form is required to support UbiD catalysis. Thus, oxidative maturation of prFMNH2 is

Patent rights in a duopoly with price leadership

open access: yesInternational Journal of Management and Economics
This study analyzes the impact of patent rights on duopolistic competition with price leadership. The willingness of companies with significant patent rights to form a cartel was assessed. The main aim of the analysis was to determine the role of patents

Self-consistent 3D Radiative Transfer for Kilonovae: Directional Spectra from Merger Simulations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters, 2023
We present 3D radiative transfer calculations for the ejecta from a neutron star merger that include line-by-line opacities for tens of millions of bound–bound transitions, composition from an r -process nuclear network, and time-dependent thermalization

Line × tester analysis in rapeseed: Identification of superior parents and combinations for seed yield and its components

open access: yesOpen Agriculture, 2016
The objectives of this research were to investigate the genetic structure of the 20 F1s rapeseed hybrids established from five female moderate maturing lines and four early maturing male testers, determine parents showing general combining ability (GCA ...

Rendering white nationalism defeasible in interaction

open access: yesBritish Journal of Social Psychology, Volume 65, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract People work to present themselves as moral, reasonable or justified even when making racist or hateful comments. In this project, we identify interactional practices that accomplish support for White nationalism as part of a reasonable (or even positive) identity held by reasonable or positive actors.

Évaluation de la résistance aux nématodes à kystes des céréales, Heterodera avenae dans les lignées élites marocaines de blé dur et blé tendre

open access: yesAfrican and Mediterranean Agricultural Journal - Al Awamia

Mitochondrial ribosomal protein L41 mediates serum starvation-induced cell-cycle arrest through an increase of p21WAF1/CIP1

open access: yesBiochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2005
Ribosomal proteins not only act as components of the translation apparatus but also regulate cell proliferation and apoptosis. A previous study reported that MRPL41 plays an important role in p53-dependent apoptosis. It also showed that MRPL41 arrests the cell cycle by stabilizing p27(Kip1) in the absence of p53.

A Novel Topical Emollient Plus for Canine Atopic Dermatitis: A Clinical Trial Assessing Efficacy and User Acceptance

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 2, Page 293-305, April 2026.
Background: Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a common, chronic skin condition characterised by epidermal barrier dysfunction, immune dysregulation and cutaneous dysbiosis. While “emollient plus” formulations are widely used in human atopic dermatitis, their role in cAD remains underexplored. Hypothesis/Objectives: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and

Voltage Stability Assessment Based on Modified Line Voltage Stability Index in the Presence of Renewable Energy Integration and Credible Contingencies

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 1, January 2026.
A modified line voltage stability index (MLVSI) is proposed to address limitations in the existing indices. The MLVSI is evaluated against Lmn, MVSI, and NCPI under varying load levels, renewable energy penetration, and contingency scenarios. It considers line resistance, power flow direction, and high‐loading events to identify critical lines and ...

Robust Finite‐Time Controller for Damping of Subsynchronous Resonance in Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Generator Wind Power System

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
From the energy perspective, this paper proposes a continuous robust finite‐time energy‐shaping controller (ESC) to achieve fast mitigation of subsynchronous resonance (SSR) in a PMSG‐based wind farm. ABSTRACT Subsynchronous resonance (SSR) poses a significant threat to the stability of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG)‐based wind power ...
