Disk Galaxies Are Self-similar: The Universality of the H i-to-Halo Mass Ratio for Isolated Disks

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters, 2023
Observed scaling relations in galaxies between baryons and dark matter global properties are key to shed light on the process of galaxy formation and on the nature of dark matter.

cdc-Like/Dual-Specificity Tyrosine Phosphorylation–Regulated Kinases Inhibitor Leucettine L41 Induces mTOR-Dependent Autophagy: Implication for Alzheimer’s Disease [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Pharmacology, 2014
Leucettines, a family of pharmacological inhibitors of dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation regulated kinases and cdc-like kinases (CLKs), are currently under investigation for their potential therapeutic application to Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease.

Identification of Mutations in Protein Kinase CKIIβ Subunit That Affect Its Binding to Ribosomal Protein L41 and Homodimerization

open access: yesBMB Reports, 2003
Protein kinase CKII is composed of two catalytic (alpha or alpha') subunits and two regulatory (beta) subunits. The CKIIbeta subunit is thought to mediate the tetramer formation and interact with other target proteins. However, its physiological function remains obscure.

Heterobeltiosis and interrelationship of some of important quantitative traits in oilseed rape genotypes

open access: yesOpen Agriculture, 2019
Half diallel crosses of eight spring genotypes of oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) were considered to evaluate heterobeltiosis effects of plant height, yield component characters, seed yield and harvest index.

Inducible expression of a gene encoding an L41 ribosomal protein responsible for the cycloheximide-resistant phenotype in the yeast Candida maltosa

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1995
In a previous paper (S. Kawai, S. Murao, M. Mochizuki, I. Shibuya, K. Yano, and M. Takagi, J. Bacteriol. 174:254-262, 1992), we showed that in each genome of several yeast species, there is one of two types of L41 gene, one for an L41 (Q-type) protein which confers cycloheximide (CYH) resistance or one for an L41 (P-type) protein which does not.

Prosocial CEOs and Accounting Manipulation Le comportement prosocial des PDG et la manipulation comptable

open access: yesContemporary Accounting Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the association between CEOs' prosocial tendency and their firms' likelihood of accounting manipulation. We measure CEOs' prosocial tendency based on their involvement with charitable organizations. We find that prosocial CEOs are less likely to engage in accounting manipulation, as proxied by material non‐reliance ...

Integrative Insights Into DYRK1A From Molecular Function to Therapeutic Advancement

open access: yesChemical Biology &Drug Design, Volume 108, Issue 1, July 2026.
At the center the 3D structure of DYRK1A has been displayed. The dual‐function of DYRK1A involved in cancer and neurodegeneration, i.e., its overexpression drives Down syndrome, neurodegenerative disease etc., and underexpression causes intellectual disability, seizures, etc.

Comparative genomic analysis of Myroides odoratimimus isolates

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, 2019
Myroides odoratimimus is an important nosocomial pathogen. Management of M. odoratimimus infection is difficult owing to the multidrug resistance and the unknown pathogenesis mechanisms. Based on our previous genomic sequencing data of M.
