Lane-Changing Recognition of Urban Expressway Exit Using Natural Driving Data

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
The traffic environment at the exit of the urban expressway is complex, and vehicle lane-changing behavior occurs frequently, making it prone to traffic conflict and congestion.

Exploring Cooperative Lane Change Decisions in Vehicle-to-Infrastructure – A Potential Conflict Analysis Approach

open access: yesPromet (Zagreb)
Vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technology enables information interaction between vehicles and among vehicles and infrastructure, significantly enhancing the efficiency of lane-changing processes and stabilising traffic flow.

VISSIM-Based Simulation and Analysis of Upstream Segments in Ramp Areas for Optimizing Vehicle Group Lane-Changing Behaviors

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2020
The traffic congestion in ramp areas is becoming increasingly prominent. In the upstream segments of ramp areas, effective management and control of lane-changing behaviors can improve the road capacity and make full use of the existing road resource ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.
