LC3‐Associated Phagocytosis and Antigen Presentation

Current Protocols in Immunology, 2018
AbstractLC3‐associated phagocytosis (LAP) is an unconventional form of autophagy that relies on parts of the canonical autophagy machinery for its function. LAP is triggered upon receptor‐mediated phagocytosis and is characterized by the formation of a single‐membrane vesicle decorated with the autophagy protein LC3.

LC3 and Autophagy

2008
Microtubule-associated protein 1A/1B-light chain 3 (LC3) is a soluble protein with a molecular mass of approximately 17 kDa that is distributed ubiquitously in mammalian tissues and cultured cells. During autophagy, autophagosomes engulf cytoplasmic components, including cytosolic proteins and organelles.

LC3 anchors TLR9 signalling

Nature Reviews Immunology, 2018
TLR9-mediated signalling induces type I IFN production through the direct recruitment of IKKα to a signalling platform anchored by the autophagy protein LC3.

The LC3 interactome at a glance

Journal of Cell Science, 2014
Continuous synthesis of all cellular components requires their constant turnover in order for a cell to achieve homeostasis. To this end, eukaryotic cells are endowed with two degradation pathways – the ubiquitin-proteasome system and the lysosomal pathway.

Autophagosomes in GFP-LC3 Transgenic Mice

2008
Recent studies of the molecular mechanism of autophagy have made available several marker proteins for autophagosomes. These marker proteins allow us to identify autophagic structures easily and accurately by fluorescent microscopy. The most widely used marker for autophagosome is LC3, a mammalian homolog of Atg8. To analyze autophagy in whole animals,

Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC3)

Biophysical Studies of LC3 Family Proteins

2019
Autophagy is an important cellular process in which cell components are degraded in a controlled way and their building blocks are recycled into new macromolecules. Autophagy starts within a double-membrane container, the autophagosome, itself the result of a number of interconversions of cell membranous elements.

Calcined clay limestone cements (LC3)

Cement and Concrete Research, 2018
Abstract The use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) to replace part of the clinker in cement is the most successful strategy to reduce CO2 emissions in the global cement industry. However, limited supplies of conventional SCMs make it difficult to take this strategy further unless new types of SCMs become available.

Semisynthetic Lipidated LC3 Protein Mediates Membrane Fusion

ChemBioChem, 2013
All together: Lipidated LC3 has been synthesized by expressed protein ligation. A TEV-cleavable MBP tag was employed to facilitate ligation under folding conditions and to solubilize the lipidated protein. The synthetic LC3-phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) mediates membrane tethering and fusion at the physiological concentration of PE, and could be a ...

Quantification of autophagy flux using LC3 ELISA

Analytical Biochemistry, 2017
Macroautophagy (hereafter referred to as autophagy) is a degradation system that delivers cytoplasmic materials to lysosomes via autophagosomes. Autophagic flux is defined as a measure of autophagic degradation activity. Despite several methods for monitoring autophagic flux being currently utilized, interest in finding a highly accurate, sensitive and
