Early leaf removal increases flower abscission in Vitis vinifera ‘Semillon’

open access: yes, 2015
Leaf removal was applied to Semillon vines in two different vineyards at different growth stages. Percentage fruit set and yield were reduced by leaf removal treatments.

DataSheet_1_QTL analysis for sodium removal ability in rice leaf sheaths under salinity using an IR-44595/318 F2 population.pdf

open access: yes, 2022
Over-accumulation of salt in rice plants is an effect of salt stress which decreases growth and grain yield. Salt removal ability in leaf sheaths is a tolerance mechanism to decrease salt entry and accumulation in leaf blades and maintain photosynthesis ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Effects of Excessive Ear Removal on Senescence Order of Wheat Functional Leaves

open access: yesPlant Production Science, 2009
We studied the effects of different ear removal treatments on the senescence order of functional leaves and the effects of removal of 3/4 ear on the chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomata conductance, malonaldehyde ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Sorption Mechanism of Lead Ions From Aqueous Solution By Imperata Cylindrica Dried Leaf Particle: Effect of Temperatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This study was conducted to investigate the sorption mechanism of Pb2+ ions from aqueous solution onto Imperata cylindrica (IC) dried leaf particles. The effect of temperatures (30, 35 and 40oC) was scrutinised from a batch adsorption system using a ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.
