Slow‐transit constipation (STC) is a disabling motility disorder with unclear smooth‐muscle mechanisms. Spatial proteomic analysis of STC patient colon reveals both the central pathogenic role of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) in STC and novel regulators of intestinal motility, BIN1 and ALDH1B1.

Sheep infection by caprine lentivirus
SUMMARY The objective of this study was to demonstrate iatrogenic transmission of small ruminant lentivirus (SRLV) from goats to sheep and horizontal transmission between sheep.

Lentiviral vectors (LVVs) are emerging as an enabling tool in gene and cell therapies, yet the toolkit for purifying them at scale is still immature. A pivoting moment in LVV isolation technology was marked by the introduction of affinity ligands for ...

Glioblastoma (GBM) exhibits RFX7 silencing via promoter hypermethylation, which downregulates PIK3IP1 to activate PI3K/AKT signaling, increase lactate accumulation, and enhance histone H4K12 lactylation. This lactylation upregulates PD‐L1/CSF1 expression and drives the immunosuppressive microenvironment formation.

Knockdown of FAM81A with lentivirus shRNA.
(A) Primary cultured mouse cortical neurons were infected with lentivirus encoding FAM81A shRNAs at DIV4. At DIV16, neurons were harvested to extract mRNA. After the preparation of cDNA, real-time PCR was performed.

Multi‐omics analyses uncover breed‐specific cis‐regulatory landscapes and higher‐order chromatin architectural differences that underlie early postnatal muscle fiber divergence in pigs. A super‐enhancer upstream of PPP3CB recruits MEF2C to activate PPP3CB transcription, while the PPP3CB–MEF2C positive feedback loop promotes oxidative muscle fiber ...

Electrophysiological analysis of lentivirus-infected neurons.
EGFP-expressing lentivirus vectors were stereotaxically injected into the CA1 pyramidal neurons, and patch clamp analyses were carried out on infected and non-infected neurons. A. B.

This research identifies DTX3L as a critical tumor suppressor that inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT), invasion and metastasis in gastric cancer. By functioning as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, DTX3L targets the master EMT regulator SNAI1 for GSK‐3β‐dependent proteasomal degradation.

Targeted depletion of BMI-1 through lentivirus-mediated siRNA.
(A) Representetive graphs of SAOS-2 cells infected with indicated lentivirus at MOI of 10 were shown (×400). Following infection of cells with indicated lentivirus for 5 days, BMI-1 mRNA levels were measured with real-time PCR (B), and protein levels ...
