This study develops 16:0 LPC‐modified lipid nanoparticles (LPC‐LNPs) with cancer cell specificity by exploiting altered tumor lipid metabolism. LPC‐LNPs encapsulating Cd28 small interfering RNA (LPC‐LNP‐Cd28) knock down cancer cell CD28 without affecting T cells, inflame the tumor microenvironment, and overcome anti‐PD‐1 resistance.

alpha2,3-sialyltransferase ST3Gal III modulates pancreatic cancer cell motility and adhesion in vitro and enhances its metastatic potential in vivo. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Cell surface sialylation is emerging as an important feature of cancer cell metastasis. Sialyltransferase expression has been reported to be altered in tumours and may account for the formation of sialylated tumour antigens.

Integrated clinical and mechanistic analyses identify GALNT7 as a ferroptosis‐suppressive regulator associated with immunotherapy resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer. GALNT7 depletion promotes lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ferroptosis, enhances CD8+ T‐cell activation and IFN‐γ production, and sensitizes tumors to PD‐1 blockade,

Glycophenotype of prostatic carcinomas
The factors that affect the progression of prostatic carcinoma are poorly understood, but it is known that carbohydrateantigens on the tumour cell surface play a role in the transforming and metastatic processes.

Lewis antigen‑negative pancreatic cancer: An aggressive subgroup
Carbohydrate antigen 19‑9 (CA19‑9) is the most important biomarker for pancreatic cancer. Approximately 5‑10% of individuals are Lewis antigen negative with scarce secretion of CA19‑9 and fucosylation deficiency. However, the characteristics of Lewis‑negative pancreatic cancer are unidentified.

It has been known that the P1 and Lewis antigens on red blood cells (RBCs ) affect the risk of Escherichia coli- related urinary tract infection. In the present study, we investigated the associations between those antigens and peritoneal dialysis (PD ...

Rotavirus P[8] Infections in Persons with Secretor and Nonsecretor Phenotypes, Tunisia
To determine whether rotavirus infections are linked to secretor status, we studied samples from children in Tunisia with gastroenteritis. We phenotyped saliva for human blood group antigens and tested feces for rotavirus.
