α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates

Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

Abstract This article introduces a comprehensive framework for defining and quantifying lifespan inequity within a population, grounded in the capability approach. Lifespan inequity (i.e., unfair inequality) is defined as lifespan deprivation due to premature mortality in a life table distribution of ages at death.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer
