Oxidized lipids in the diet are incorporated by the liver into very low density lipoprotein in rats

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1996
Previous studies have shown that the quantity of oxidized lipids in the diet directly correlates with the level of oxidized chylomicrons in mesenteric lymph and the level of oxidized lipids in endogenous lipoproteins such as very low density lipoprotein (

Peach Kernel Oil Modulates Lipid Metabolism Disorder in ApoEa CRISPR/Cas9 Gene‐Disrupted Zebrafish

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
In this study, we used CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology to establish a lipid metabolism disorder model of ApoEa mutant zebrafish. We applied peach kernel oil to this model and studied the mechanism of peach kernel oil regulating lipid disorder in combination with transcriptomics.

Protective Effects of Auricularia auricula Polysaccharides on Acute Lung Injury by Regulating Intestinal Flora and Metabolism

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Auricularia auricula polysaccharides (AAP; 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg) protect against acute lung injury (ALI) by dose‐dependently remodeling the gut microbiota and modulating associated metabolic pathways via the gut‐lung axis, thereby enhancing pulmonary anti‐inflammatory and antioxidant capacity to ultimately prevent tissue damage.

Fatty acid composition of Mediterranean buffalo milk fat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The purpose of this research was to investigate the variation in fatty acid composition of milk fat from four buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) herds under different feeding management and ration composition. Changes in milk fatty acid composition were monitored

Fish Oil Ameliorates Glycolipid Metabolism Disorders Induced by Long‐Term Potato Chip Diet Through Gut‐Liver Axis

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Fried potato consumption is increasingly associated with metabolic disorders, yet preventive strategies remain poorly understood. In a 13‐week mouse model, long‐term potato chip intake induced significant glycolipid metabolic disturbances and tissue damage, which were ameliorated by fish oil supplementation through modulation of inflammation, hepatic ...

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ON OIL CONTENT AND FATTY ACID COMPOSITION OF NEW OS-HYBRID COMBINATIONS OF SUNFLOWER [PDF]

open access: yesPoljoprivreda, 2013
This paper presents the results of 17 new OS-hybrid combinations of sunflower during three years (2009-2011) on two locations (Nova Gradiška and Osijek) aiming to determine the variability of oil content and fatty acid composition of the oil in different

Engineered Probiotics: The Next‐Generation Therapeutics to Combat Antibiotic‐Resistant Bacterial Infections

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Engineered probiotics secretes fusion proteins which potentially neutralized the toxins secreted by other microbial communities. ABSTRACT On a global scale, the escalating burden of infectious diseases, predominantly attributed to bacterial pathogens, especially drug‐resistant strains, has progressed into a critical concern for clinical management and ...

Level of accumulation of epoxy fatty acid in Arabidopsis thaliana expressing a linoleic acid Δ12-epoxygenase is influenced by the availability of the substrate linoleic acid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh. expressing the Crepis palaestina (L.) linoleic acid Δ12-epoxygenase in its developing seeds typically accumulates low levels of vernolic acid (12,13-epoxy-octadec-cis-9-enoic acid) in comparison to levels found in seeds ...
