Experimental Investigation and Characterization of Biodiesel From Aregmone ocheroleuca

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 13, Issue 8, Page 3979-3997, August 2025.
The experimental investigation and characterization of biodiesel derived from Aregmone ochroleuca, a plant known for its oil‐rich seeds. The production of biodiesel from argemone oil, methanol, and potassium hydroxide catalysis through transesterification methods, and then characterized their properties, like the Effect of Reaction Temperature on ...

More Protein, Less Vitamin D and Omega‐3: An Observational Study of Infant and Toddler Nutrition and Maternal Feeding Attitudes From Türkiye

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
Dietary intakes of infants/toddlers and the attitudes of their mothers are associated. Even though the energy adequacy was high, iron, vitamin D, fiber, EPA + DHA were below the recommendations. Mothers' attitudes should also be taken into consideration when evaluating the dietary intakes of infants/toddlers.

Dose‐Dependent Effects of Dietary n‐3 Fatty Acids on Bowel Health: Plant‐Sourced ALA Modulates Diarrhea Risk While Marine‐Sourced DHA/EPA Prevent Constipation in NHANES 2005–2010

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
This study revealed a nonlinear relationship between total n‐3PUFA intake and diarrhea risk, where moderate consumption (1.38–2.25 g/day) reduced odds by 30%, but excess (> 2.25 g/day) negates benefits. ALA drove 82.9% of this effect, exhibiting U‐shaped protection peaking at 1.29–2.23 g/day. Conversely, marine EPA/DHA linearly alleviated constipation (
