Terpene Hydroperoxides as Lipid Peroxidation Inducers: Biomimetic and HaCaT Cell Studies in Allergic Contact Dermatitis

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 93, Issue 1, Page 16-30, July 2025.
Fragrance terpene hydroperoxides from limonene, linalool, and geraniol induced the formation of lipid peroxidation products when incubated with PLPC liposomes or in vitro with HaCaT keratinocytes. Lipid peroxidation products included aldehydes, ketones, and hydroperoxides.

Light Quantity Impacts Early Response to Cold and Cold Acclimation in Young Leaves of Arabidopsis

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 48, Issue 7, Page 5030-5052, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Plant reactions to stress vary with development stage and fitness. This study assessed the relationship between light and chilling stress in Arabidopsis acclimation. By analysing the transcriptome and proteome responses of expanding leaves subjected to varying light intensity and cold, 2251 and 2064 early response genes and proteins were ...

ALX/FPR2 Contributes to Serum Amyloid A‐Induced Lung Neutrophil Recruitment Following Acute Ozone Exposure

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 11, 15 June 2025.
Ozone (O3) is a toxic air pollutant that causes respiratory inflammation and can cause hospitalization. The goal of this study was to determine if the G protein‐coupled receptor, ALX/FPR2, is required for the initiation of inflammation in the lungs following O3 exposure.

Lipid Metabolism and Immune Function: Chemical Tools for Insights into T‐Cell Biology

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 26, Issue 11, June 3, 2025.
This review explores how lipids regulate immune responses, particularly in T‐cell function. Advances in metabolomics and proteomics provide insights into lipid‐mediated immunity. Fluorescent lipids enable single‐cell analysis of lipid uptake and metabolism.

Lipid Droplet‐Derived Biomimetic Nanocarriers for the Enhancement of Porcine Intermuscular Fat Content

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 21, June 5, 2025.
The article presents the development of artificial lipid droplets (aLDs) as biomimetic nanocarriers to enhance intramuscular fat (IMF) content in pigs. These aLDs, loaded with oleic acid, significantly increase IMF by up to 35% in muscle tissues without adverse side effects. This innovative approach improves pork quality by enhancing marbling, offering
