Recognition of Receptor Lipopolysaccharides by Spike G Protein of Bacteriophage φX174
The spike G protein of bacteriophage phiX174 was prepared as a hexa histidine-tagged G protein (HisG). In the enzyme-linked plate assay, HisG bound specifically to lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) of the phiX174-sensitive strains, and did not bind to LPSs of the phiX174-insensitive strains. The truncated G protein obtained after trypsin digestion of HisG had

In the recondite pulmonary neoplastic milieu, DESMIN+ cancer‐associated fibroblasts function as the paramount stromal source of IL‐8, precipitating a deleterious immunological metamorphosis by engaging CXCR2 receptors on the myeloid lineage. This paracrine stimulus triggers a mechanotransduction cascade characterized by RhoA‐dependent actin ...

Gut flora enhance bacterial clearance in lung through toll-like receptors 4
Background The influence of the gut flora on lung inflammatory reaction against bacterial challenge remains undefined. This study was designed to investigate whether gut flora enhances lung defense against E.coli pneumonia through TLR4 signaling. Methods

This study identifies an immunometabolic axis wherein SAM‐driven PRMT1 methylates LDHA, enhancing its activity. The resultant lactate induces STAT3 K709 lactylation, which stabilizes an active conformation to promote STAT3 phosphorylation and IL‐10 expression.

Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.

Mitigating LPS-Induced Inflammation in AGS Cells via the TLR4 Pathway with Fumaric Acids [PDF]
The study investigates the effects of fumaric acid on Toll-like receptor (TLR) expression, cytokine production, and cell viability in AGS cells exposed to lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a potent inducer of inflammation.
