Expression and Functional of LncRNA XIST in MCF-7 Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesZhongliu Fangzhi Yanjiu, 2019
Objective To investigate the expression and function of lncRNA XIST in MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Methods The expression of XIST in MCF 10A human normal breast epithelial cells and MCF-7 human breast cancer cells were detected by qRT-PCR. Transient transfection technique was used to overexpress XIST in MCF-7 cells.

Transcriptional stochasticity reveals multiple mechanisms of long non-coding RNA regulation at the Xist–Tsix locus

open access: yesNature Communications
Long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) are increasingly recognized as being involved in human physiology and diseases, but there is a lack of mechanistic understanding for the majority of lncRNAs.

Wenshen Yiqi Granule Alleviates Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease via the Long Noncoding RNA‐XIST/MicroRNA‐200c‐3p Axis

open access: yesPulmonary Circulation
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major challenge to global public health. Evidence showed that long noncoding RNA (lncRNA)‐XIST/microRNA (miRNA)‐200c‐3p axis regulated apoptosis and inflammation in cigarette smoke extract (CSE)‐exposed ...

Remodeling of XIST regulatory landscape during primate evolution

open access: yes
International audienceUnraveling how gene regulations are remodeled during evolution is central to understanding how biological processes evolve. We explored this question in the frame of X-chromosome inactivation, a process under strong selective ...

How does the Xist activator Rlim/Rnf12 regulate Xist expression?

open access: yes
The long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) Xist is crucially involved in a process called X chromosome inactivation (XCI), the transcriptional silencing of one of the two X chromosomes in female mammals to achieve X dosage compensation between the sexes.
