Multi‐Organelle Stress‐Induced Paraptosis by a ROS‐Amplifying Nanocatalyst for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The engineered TF‐Fe@LC nanoplatform programs paraptotic death via multipath ROS amplification that disrupts redox homeostasis, provoking mitochondrial dysfunction, autophagic blockade, and ER stress. This caspase‐independent process elicits robust immunogenic cell death, combining with αPD‐L1 to activate systemic CD8+ T‐cell immunity and suppress ...

Genetic and functional association of FAM5C with myocardial infarction

open access: yesBMC Medical Genetics, 2008
Background We previously identified a 40 Mb region of linkage on chromosome 1q in our early onset coronary artery disease (CAD) genome-wide linkage scan (GENECARD) with modest evidence for linkage (n = 420, LOD 0.95).

Exposure to Household Air Pollution from Biomass-Burning Cookstoves and HbA1c and Diabetic Status Among Honduran Women [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Household air pollution from biomass cookstoves is estimated to be responsible for more than two and a half million premature deaths annually, primarily in low and middle‐income countries where cardiometabolic disorders, such as Type II Diabetes, are ...

A Renal Clearable Probe for In Vivo Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A renal‐clearable Cy7‐based fluorogenic probe enables rapid and non‐invasive detection of monoamine oxidase (MAO) activity in vivo. Upon MAO‐mediated activation, the fluorescent product is efficiently excreted in urine, allowing direct quantification of enzyme overexpression.

Provisional assignment of the G blood-group locus to chromosome 15 in swine: Gene mapping in swine using natural and induced marker chromosomes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Using the lod score test, 85 combinations of 19 biochemical and immunogenetic markers and 7 natural and radiation-induced chromosomal markers were checked with respect to linkage.

A genome-wide linkage scan provides evidence for both new and previously reported loci influencing common migraine. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Latent class analysis was performed on migraine symptom data collected in a Dutch population sample (N = 12,210, 59% female) in order to obtain empirical groupings of individuals suffering from symptoms of migraine headache.

Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Evolutionary associations between sand seatrout (Cynoscion arenarius) and silver seatrout (C. nothus) inferred from morphological characters, mitochondrial DNA, and microsatellite markers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The evolutionary associations between closely related fish species, both contemporary and historical, are frequently assessed by using molecular markers, such as microsatellites.
