An Integrated DNA Nanoprobe for Intranuclear Imaging and in Situ Profiling of OGG1 Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The TP‐SA nanoprobe, integrating an AS1411 aptamer for nuclear delivery and a FRET array for signal amplification, enables real‐time tracking of nuclear OGG1 activity. It reveals cell‐line‐specific basal OGG1 levels and shows clinical promise using pneumonia patients’ lavage fluid.

Nanomaterials for Allergy Diagnosis and Treatment: Advances, Opportunities and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials offer dual applications in allergy management. For diagnosis, nanomaterials enhance analytical sensitivity and improve detection in specific IgE and functional assays such as the basophil activation test (BAT). For allergen‐specific immunotherapy, nanomaterials enable allergen masking and controlled release, and effectively modulate the ...

Therapeutic Outcomes in VEXAS Syndrome: A Multicenter Comparative Cohort of Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Hypomethylating Agents

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypomethylating agents (HMA) and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT) have both demonstrated remissions in VEXAS; however, comparative data is lacking. We conducted a multicenter, retrospective analysis of 66 patients diagnosed with VEXAS syndrome treated with HMA (n = 35) or alloHSCT (n = 31). Baseline characteristics

Average LOD profiles on chromosome 1 across 1000 simulation runs for the linked QTL model.

open access: yes, 2015
(A) H2 = 0.1. (B) H2 = 0.5. (C) H2 = 0.8. LOD scores on other chromosomes were not shown because no QTL was defined there. LOD score was close to zero on chromosomes 2 to 6.

Per‐ and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Exposure Profiles and Their Predictors in a Study of US Volunteer Firefighters

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Industrial Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Firefighters may experience occupational exposure to per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Volunteer firefighters make up 65% of the US fire service, but their serum PFAS profiles have not been well characterized. This study aims to (1) describe PFAS serum profiles among US volunteer firefighters from 9 states enrolled in ...

Two significant and two suggestive LOD scores on Hsa12, Hsa15, Hsa1, and Hsa19.

open access: yes, 2012
LOD scores of genome-wide linkage analyses using the CEPH-HapMap family-cohort of three generations are plotted for all autosomal chromosomes (in blue). The blue line shows the maximal LOD score within a window size of 10 kb.

Development of a loop‐mediated isothermal amplification‐lateral flow dipstick (LAMP‐LFD) assay and on‐site rapid detection evaluation for Rodentibacter heylii and Rodentibacter pneumotropicus

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study established a closed‐tube LAMP‐LFD assay for detecting Rodentibacter heylii and Rodentibacter pneumotropicus. The method exhibited high sensitivity (detection limits of 10−5 ng/μL for R. heylii and 10−4 ng/μL for R. pneumotropicus), high specificity, reliable performance with clinical samples, and effective validation in experimental ...

QTLs for glomerular injury score in postmenopausal F2 (Dahl S x R) intercross female rats.

open access: yes, 2013
QTL, quantitative trait locus; GIS, glomerular injury score; Chr, chromosome; % , the amount in % of total trait variance that would be explained by a QTL at these loci; Mbp, mega-base pair; LOD, logarithm of the odds score derived from the likelihood ...

From Marginal to Central: Marginal Zone‐like B Cells as Critical Targets in Cladribine‐Treated Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease where B cells play a central pathogenic role. Cladribine, an oral therapy, provides durable benefits by reshaping lymphocyte populations, yet its specific long‐term impact on distinct B‐cell subsets is not fully understood.

Gene mapping using linkage analysis

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Pediatrics, 1991
Linkage analysis is a recombinant technology used for gene mapping. If two genetic loci segregate together in a pedigree more often than by random chance, they are said to be linked, that is they lie close on the same chromosome.
