Genome-wide search for strabismus susceptibility loci. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The purpose of this study was to search for chromosomal susceptibility loci for comitant strabismus. Genomic DNA was isolated from 10mL blood taken from each member of 30 nuclear families in which 2 or more siblings are affected by either esotropia or ...

High Stability of Diketopyrrolopyrrole Polymer Transistors Under Aqueous Condition Toward Biosensing Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We are reporting the first‐time investigation of DPP‐based Organic Field‐Effect Transistor (OFET) devices with high‐stability of signal response in both of ambient and aqueous conditions with PBS solution. ABSTRACT Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)–based conjugated polymers show strong promise for electronic applications, including bioelectronic gas sensors ...

NELLIE: Never-Ending Linking for Linked Open Data

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Knowledge graphs (KGs) that follow the Linked Data principles are created daily. However, there are no holistic models for the Linked Open Data (LOD). Building these models(i.e., engineering a pipeline system) is still a big challenge in order to make ...

A new perspective on sexual mixing among men who have sex with men by body image. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
"Casual sex" is seldom as non-selective and random as it may sound. During each sexual encounter, people consciously and unconsciously seek their casual sex partners according to different attributes. Influential to a sexual network, research focusing on

Comparison of multipoint linkage analyses for quantitative traits in the CEPH data: parametric LOD scores, variance components LOD scores, and Bayes factors [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Proceedings, 2007
Abstract We performed multipoint linkage analyses with multiple programs and models for several gene expression traits in the Centre d'Etude du Polymorphisme Humain families. All analyses provided consistent results for both peak location and shape. Variance-components (VC) analysis gave wider peaks and Bayes factors gave fewer peaks.

Low-density genotype panel for both parentage verification and discovery in a multi-breed sheep population [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
peer-reviewedThe generally low usage of artificial insemination and single-sire mating in sheep, compounded by mob lambing (and lambing outdoors), implies that parentage assignment in sheep is challenging.
