Endothelial PDGF Signaling Dysregulation Impairs Testicular Interstitial Homeostasis in Diabetes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 21, 13 April 2026.
Testicular endothelial cells (TECs) function as central signaling hubs that coordinate interstitial homeostasis. Diabetes disrupts TEC‐derived PDGF signaling, silences the JUND‐MCL1 survival program in Leydig cells, and impairs peritubular function, leading to fibrosis and testosterone insufficiency.

A combinatorial extracellular matrix platform identifies cell-extracellular matrix interactions that correlate with metastasis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Extracellular matrix interactions play essential roles in normal physiology and many pathological processes. While the importance of ECM interactions in metastasis is well documented, systematic approaches to identify their roles in distinct stages of ...

Proteomic profiling of brain organoids and extracellular vesicles identifies early Alzheimer's disease biomarkers and drug response heterogeneity

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Alzheimer's disease (AD) exhibits high genetic and clinical heterogeneity that limits therapeutic success. Patient‐derived brain organoids and their extracellular vesicles (EVs) provide physiologically relevant models to study disease mechanisms and individualized drug responses.

MicroRNAs Associated with Shoulder Tendon Matrisome Disorganization in Glenohumeral Arthritis

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2016
The extracellular matrix (ECM) provides core support which is essential for the cell and tissue architectural development. The role of ECM in many pathological conditions has been well established and ECM-related abnormalities leading to serious consequences have been identified.

Cell-selective labeling using amino acid precursors for proteomic studies of multicellular environments. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We report a technique to selectively and continuously label the proteomes of individual cell types in coculture, named cell type-specific labeling using amino acid precursors (CTAP).

A proteomic analysis of chondrogenic, osteogenic and tenogenic constructs from ageing mesenchymal stem cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Background Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have prospective applications in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering but to what extent phenotype and differentiation capacity alter with ageing is uncertain.

Emerging tumor spheroids technologies for 3D in vitro cancer modeling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
"Article in Press, Available online 31 October 2017" ; "S0163-7258(17)30268-1"Cancer is a leading cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Around 90% of deaths are caused by metastasis and just 10% by primary tumor.

Nanorobots Sense Local Physiochemical Heterogeneities of Tumor Matrisome

open access: yes, 2020
The dissemination of cancer is brought about by continuous interaction of malignant cells with their surrounding tissue microenvironment. Understanding and quantifying the remodeling of local extracellular matrix (ECM) by invading cells can therefore provide fundamental insights into the dynamics of cancer dissemination. In this paper, we use an active

Transcriptional profiling of the ductus arteriosus: Comparison of rodent microarrays and human RNA sequencing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
DA closure is crucial for the transition from fetal to neonatal life. This closure is supported by changes to the DA’s signaling and structural properties that distinguish it from neighboring vessels.

Matrisomics: Beyond the extracellular matrix for unveiling tumor microenvironment

open access: yesBiochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Reviews on Cancer
The matrisome, a group of proteins constituting or interacting with the extracellular matrix (ECM), has garnered attention as a potent regulator of cancer progression. An increasing number of studies have focused on cancer matrisome utilizing diverse -omics approaches.
