Tumor Suppressor DAPK1 Catalyzes Adhesion Assembly on Rigid but Anoikis on Soft Matrices
Cancer cells normally grow on soft surfaces due to impaired mechanosensing of the extracellular matrix rigidity. Upon restoration of proper mechanosensing, cancer cells undergo apoptosis on soft surfaces (anoikis) like most normal cells.

Formation of Moments Influence Matrix in Frame Based on Graph of its Design Scheme [PDF]
A procedure is proposed for the automated construction of the bending moments influence matrix in the frame based on the graph of its discrete model. Forming the incidence matrix of the graph characterizing the topological structure of the design scheme ...

SEISMIC ANALYSIS OF FRAMES WITH SEMI-RIGID CONNECTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH EC8
Up to date research has pointed out that most of the structural connections of reinforced concrete (RC) frames, particularly precast ones, behave as semi-rigid.

Matrix and tensor rigidity and L-approximation
In this paper we apply methods originated in Complexity theory to some problems of Approximation. We notice that the construction of Alman and Williams that disproves the rigidity of Walsh-Hadamard matrices, provides good $\ell_p$-approximation for $p<2$.

Matrix rigidity induces osteolytic gene expression of metastatic breast cancer cells. [PDF]
Nearly 70% of breast cancer patients with advanced disease will develop bone metastases. Once established in bone, tumor cells produce factors that cause changes in normal bone remodeling, such as parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP).

In this note we show that a sharp rigidity estimate and a sharp Korn’s inequality for matrix-valued fields whose incompatibility is a bounded measure can be obtained as a consequence of a Hodge decomposition with critical integrability due to Bourgain ...
