Prototype of a rapid assay for cellular mechanotransduction
Proceedings of the Second Joint 24th Annual Conference and the Annual Fall Meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society] [Engineering in Medicine and Biology, 2003Many key cellular interactions involve mechanotransduction (MT), whereby forces applied by other cells or by the matrix lead to biochemical and morphological sequellae. Since MT may be a useful target of molecular therapies, I have developed a rapid assay for it: the flow cytomechanical assay (FCMA).
