Acute toxicity of Nerium oleander aqueous leaf extract in rabbits [PDF]
The median lethal dose was evaluated in rabbits subcutaneously injected with Nerium oleander aqueous leaf extract . The clinical signs , postmortem changes , hematological and biochemical changes were recorded. The results revealed that the median lethal

STUDY OF ACUTE TOXICITY OF DIFFERENT PREPARATION OF OLEANDER LEAVES IN MICE [PDF]
Three preparations of dried oleander leaves were prepared. The first one was by extraction with hexane; the second by extraction with 70% ethanol while the third was suspended as a whole ground leaves in distilled water.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

The Impact of Age and Sex on Mouse Models of Melioidosis
Mouse models have been used to generate critical data for many infectious diseases. In the case of Burkholderia pseudomallei, mouse models have been invaluable for bacterial pathogenesis studies as well as for testing novel medical countermeasures ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Gladiolus is a highly allogamous flower plant, but owing to the prolonged juvenile phase, asexual propagation is preferred, which acts as a barrier for the induction of natural genetic variability in gladiolus. Therefore, the induced mutagenesis could be

Female rats are less susceptible during puberty to the lethal effects of percutaneous exposure to VX
Nerve agents with low volatility such as VX are primarily absorbed through the skin when released during combat or a terrorist attack. The barrier function of the stratum corneum may be compromised during certain stages of development, allowing VX to ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.
