This study presents a modular redox‐responsive nanocapsule platform that enables enhanced tumor‐targeted delivery of antimicrobial peptides. Using melittin as an example, the system achieves controlled activation within the tumor microenvironment, improving intratumoral accumulation while minimizing systemic toxicity.

Calmodulin in Complex with Proteins and Small Molecule Ligands: Operating with the Element of Surprise. Implications for Structure-Based Drug Design [PDF]
Calmodulin plays a role in several life processes, its flexibility allows binding of a number of different ligands from small molecules to amphiphilic peptide helices and proteins. Through the diversity of its functions, it is quite difficult to find new

A transcriptome study was established in Ordu, Türkiye using genetically related A. mellifera anatoliaca colonies founded by super‐sister queens. Nurse bees were collected and high‐quality RNA was sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform, and analyzed on the Sabancı University HPC cluster (1).

Novel Molecules for Intra-Oral Delivery of Antimicrobials to Prevent and Treat Oral Infectious Diseases [PDF]
New molecules were designed for efficient intra-oral delivery of antimicrobials to prevent and treat oral infection. The salivary statherin fragment, which has high affinity for the tooth enamel, was used as a carrier peptide. This was linked through the

A review of selected bee products as potential anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral agents [PDF]
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the greatest medical challenges the world faces. It was estimated recently that by 2050, AMR will account for 10 million extra deaths annually with additional economic costs in the region of $100 trillion.

Multiple Membrane Interactions and Versatile Vesicle Deformations Elicited by Melittin
Melittin induces various reactions in membranes and has been widely studied as a model for membrane-interacting peptide; however, the mechanism whereby melittin elicits its effects remains unclear. Here, we observed melittin-induced changes in individual
