Visualization of PKA activity in plasma membrane microdomains
Molecular BioSystems, 2010Abstract Membrane rafts are sphingolipid- and cholesterol-rich microdomains that contain dynamic arrangements of signalingproteins. Notably, various components of the ubiquitous cAMP/Protein Kinase A (PKA) pathway, including β-adrenergic receptors (β-ARs), G proteins, and adenylyl cyclases (ACs), have been shown to localize ...

Presence of detergent-resistant microdomains in lysosomal membranes
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2002We examined the association of acetyl-CoA:alpha-glucosaminide N-acetyltransferase, a lysosomal enzyme participating in the degradation of heparan sulfate with other components of the lysosomal membrane. We prepared lysosomal membranes from human placenta and treated them with zwitterionic and non-ionic detergents.

Membrane raft microdomains in chemokine receptor function
Seminars in Immunology, 2001Cell chemotaxis requires the acquisition and maintenance of both spatial and functional asymmetry between initially equivalent cell parts. In leukocytes one becomes the leading edge and the other, the rear edge or uropod. The acquisition of this cell polarity is controlled by an array of chemoattractants, including those of the chemokine family.
