Transcriptome-wide mapping of internal mRNA N 7-methylguanosine in sporulated and unsporulated oocysts of Eimeria tenella reveals stage-specific signatures

open access: yesParasites & Vectors
Background Growing evidence indicates that N 7-methylguanosine (m7G) modification plays critical roles in epigenetic regulation. However, no data regarding m7G modification are currently available in Eimeria tenella, a highly virulent species causing ...

BGN/MDK Axis in the Melanoma Tumor Microenvironment Strengthens Tumor Malignancy by Modulating Cancer Cells and Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that m6A regulators cooperatively upregulate BGN in melanoma, promoting malignancy. Within the tumor microenvironment, CAFs show highest BGN expression. The BGN/MDK axis mediates cancer‐stroma crosstalk, driving normal fibroblast (NF) activation and enhancing the pro‐tumor effect of CAFs, highlighting a promising therapeutic target ...

m6A-mRNA Methylation Regulates Gene Expression and Programmable m6A Modification of Cellular RNAs With CRISPR-Cas13b in Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2022
Background: N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most extensive messenger RNA modification. Despite recent advances in the biological roles of m6A, its role in the development and progression of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remains unclear. Methods: In this ...

Global analysis of N6-methyladenosine functions and its disease association using deep learning and network-based methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most abundant methylation, existing in >25% of human mRNAs. Exciting recent discoveries indicate the close involvement of m6A in regulating many different aspects of mRNA metabolism and diseases like cancer.

Tumor Extracellular Vesicles lncOSLMT Drives Lung Inflammatory Premetastatic Niche Formation in Osteosarcoma via m6A‐Dependent hnRNPA2B1/COX‐2 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐derived extracellular vesicles program inflammatory lung premetastatic niches through selective delivery of long noncoding RNAs. This work reveals EVs‐associated lncOSLMT as a key driver of lung fibroblast activation via m6A‐dependent PTGS2 stabilization.

The N6-methyladenosine Epitranscriptomic Landscape of Lung Adenocarcinoma. [PDF]

open access: yes
Comprehensive N6-methyladenosine (m6A) epitranscriptomic profiling of primary tumors remains largely uncharted. Here, we profiled the m6A epitranscriptome of 10 nonneoplastic lung tissues and 51 lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tumors, integrating the ...

Prediction of RNA Methylation Status From Gene Expression Data Using Classification and Regression Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
RNA N6-methyladenosine (m6A) has emerged as an important epigenetic modification for its role in regulating the stability, structure, processing, and translation of RNA. Instability of m6A homeostasis may result in flaws in stem cell regulation, decrease

Targeting WTAP/ROR1/WNT5A‐Mediated Crosstalk Between Glioma Stem Cells and Macrophages to Normalize Tumor Vasculature and Enhance Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In hypoxic microenvironment, WNT5A is predominantly secreted by tumor‐associated macrophages. Hypoxia‐induced WTAP mediates ROR1 stability by m6A modifications in a HuR‐dependent manner in Glioma stem cells (GSCs). WNT5A activates the WNT pathway via ROR1 binding on GSCs, driving glioma‐derived endothelial cells (GDECs) differentiation.

Global m6A methylation and gene expression patterns in human microglial HMC3 cells infected with HIV-1

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) RNA regulates viral replication, and the m6A of host RNA is affected by HIV-1 infection, but its global pattern and function are still unclear.
