Expert System for Predicting Reaction Conditions: The Michael Reaction Case
Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, 2015A generic chemical transformation may often be achieved under various synthetic conditions. However, for any specific reagents, only one or a few among the reported synthetic protocols may be successful. For example, Michael β-addition reactions may proceed under different choices of solvent (e.g., hydrophobic, aprotic polar, protic) and catalyst (e.g.,

Michael-Michael Aldol Reaction of Chalcones with Cyanoacetylurea and Cyanoacetylpiperidine
Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 1995Several highly substituted cyclohexane derivatives were synthesized by the one-pot condensation of chalcones and cyanoacetylurea (2 : 1) using sodium alkoxide in anhydrous alcohol at room temperature. The structure of the reaction products was established by infrared, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy as well as by their elemental analysis.

The selective aldol reaction and Michael reaction
1990Abstract In the first half of the 1970s, we investigated the characteristics of alkylthioboranes based on the concept of ‘elements in combination’ as described in Chapter 7,1 and we explored new reactions of significant interest. Further extension of research to investigate new characteristics of alkylthioboranes seemed quite promising ...
