The use of polymorphic microsatellites for assessing genetic diversity in coconut
Microsatellites, or Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) are short tandemly repeated sequence motifs of circa 1–8 bp in length, which are scattered in abundance throughout the genome and can vary between individuals in repeat length.

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Use of Microsatellites to Study Agricultural Biodiversity and Food Traceability
Molecular markers are useful tools for measuring the genetic diversity among agricultural species. In plants, microsatellites are still the most used markers for germplasm characterization, conservation, and traceability purposes, while in the ...

A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

A Complement Method for Magnetic Data Based on TCN-SE Model
The magnetometer is a vital measurement component for attitude measurement of near-Earth satellites and autonomous magnetic navigation, and monitoring health is significant. However, due to the compact structure of the microsatellites, the stray magnetic

Microsatellite Instability in Keratoacanthoma [PDF]
Tumors from patients with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) and from a subset of patients with the related Muir-Torre syndrome (MTS) exhibit a novel type of genomic instability known as microsatellite instability (MIN). In general, this form of genomic instability results from mutations that inactivate DNA mismatch repair genes.

Isolation and characterization of polymorphic microsatellites in Cocos nucifera L.
Microsatellites or simple sequence repeats (SSRs) were isolated from coconut (Cocos nucifera) and tested for polymorphism on restricted germplasm. Sequencing of 197 clones from a cv.

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.
