Proteomic Profiling of the Microsomal Root Fraction: Discrimination of Pisum sativum L. Cultivars and Identification of Putative Root Growth Markers

open access: yesProteomes, 2017
Legumes are a large and economically important family, containing a variety of crop plants. Alongside different cereals, some fruits, and tropical roots, a number of leguminosae evolved for millennia as crops with human society.

Protein retention in yeast rough endoplasmic reticulum: expression and assembly of human ribophorin I. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
The RER retains a specific subset of ER proteins, many of which have been shown to participate in the translocation of nascent secretory and membrane proteins. The mechanism of retention of RER specific membrane proteins is unknown.

Microsome Isolation from Tissue

open access: yesBIO-PROTOCOL, 2014
This protocol details the extraction of microsomes from frozen tissue in order to further examine the protein-protein interactions occurring within the endoplasmic reticulum. This protocol was adapted from Abisambra et al. (2013) with modifications made in order to optimize for subsequent use.

Human phase‐I metabolism of three synthetic cannabinoids bearing a cumyl moiety and a cyclobutyl methyl or norbornyl methyl tail: Cumyl‐CBMEGACLONE, Cumyl‐NBMEGACLONE, and Cumyl‐NBMINACA

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
The human phase‐I metabolism of three SCRAs bearing a cumyl moiety and a CBM or NBM tail, based on LC‐qToF‐MS data of authentic urine specimens. Abstract Synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists (SCRAs) continue to show high prevalence on the new psychoactive substances drug market.

Do Flame Retardants Promote Vitamin D Deficiency? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Vitamin D deficiency in the Unites States has become more prevalent in recent years. Research has shown that environmental chemicals such as flame-retardants induce hepatic enzymes in the cytochrome P450 family such as CYP24 and CYP3A that are important ...

Inhibition of palmitoyl CoA deacylase by chlorophenoxyisobutyrate and betabenzalbutyrate

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1973
Palmitoyl CoA deacylase activity was measured in preparations of rat liver microsomes. Two hypolipidemic agents, chlorophenoxyisobutyrate and betabenzalbutyrate caused inhibition of palmitoyl CoA deacylase in vitro.

Changes In the lipid composition of rat hepatic microsomes induced by the diet

open access: yesGrasas y Aceites, 1994
The effect on the hepatic microsomes from rats fed with either virgin olive oil (10%) or fish oil (10%), with or without added cholesterol (1%), has been studied.

Transport of Cytoplasmically Synthesized Proteins into the Mitochondria in a Cell Free System from Neurospora crassa [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
Synthesis and transport of mitochondrial proteins were followed in a cell-free homogenate of Neurospora crassa in which mitochondrial translation was inhibited. Proteins synthesized on cytoplasmic ribosomes are transferred into the mitochondrial fraction.
