MicroRNA expression profiles of whole blood in lung adenocarcinoma. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
The association of lung cancer with changes in microRNAs in plasma shown in multiple studies suggests a utility for circulating microRNA biomarkers in non-invasive detection of the disease.

Data from miR-181a and miR-630 Regulate Cisplatin-Induced Cancer Cell Death

open access: yes, 2023

Abstract
MicroRNAs (miRNA) are noncoding RNAs that regulate multiple cellular processes, including proliferation and apoptosis. We used microarray technology to identify miRNAs that were upregulated by non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells in response to cisplatin (CDDP).

TP53RK and BCL2L2 are direct targets of miR-630.

open access: yes, 2015
(A) Predicted binding sites of miR-630 in the 3′-UTRs of TP53RK and BCL2L2 (B and C) Fluorescence was significantly reduced in the miR-630 mimics and wild-type dual-luciferase reporter plasmid-transfected group, while it showed no significant change in ...

Inhibition of miR-630 led to decreased IR sensitivity.

open access: yes, 2015
(A) Inhibition of miR-630 significantly decreased IR-induced inhibition rate (B and C) Inhibition of miR-630 strongly decreased caspase 3 and caspase 6 activities following IR exposure.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Identification of H2O2 induced oxidative stress associated microRNAs in HLE-B3 cells and their clinical relevance to the progression of age-related nuclear cataract

open access: yesBMC Ophthalmology, 2018
Background This study is aimed to screen out the microRNAs (miRNAs) associated with H2O2 induced oxidative stress in human lens epithelial B3 (HLE-B3) cell lines and investigate their relations with the progression of age-related nuclear cataract ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Differential expression of microRNAs and their messengerRNA targets in men with normal spermatogenesis versus Sertoli cell-only syndrome

open access: yesUrological Science, 2017
Objective: To identify the profiling of testicular microRNAs (miRNAs) that are differentially expressed in men with normal spermatogenesis versus Sertoli cell-only syndrome (SCOS), to predict the miRNA target genes, and to determine the molecular ...
