Argonaute10 as a miRNA Locker [PDF]
The stability and translation efficiency of many messenger RNAs is regulated by microRNAs (miRNAs), which exert their effects through associated Argonaute proteins. In this issue, Zhu, Zhang, and colleagues reveal that plants also exploit miRNA binding by Argonautes as a sequestering mechanism that prevents miRNAs from fulfilling their normal roles.

Research progress on plant noncoding RNAs in response to low-temperature stress
Low temperature (LT) is an important factor limiting plant growth and distribution. Plants have evolved sophisticated adaptive mechanisms to cope with hypothermia. RNA silencing is the orchestrator of these cellular responses.

miRNAs: Whys and Wherefores of miRNA-Mediated Regulation [PDF]
MiRNAs are assumed to be important in animal development and physiology, but their specific roles in vivo are still poorly understood. New bioinformatic and genetic studies are setting the stage for unraveling the specific biological functions of miRNAs.

mtDNA copy number/miR663/AATF axis in invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast [PDF]
Introduction: Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) copy number variations have been reported in multiple human cancers. Previous studies indicate that mitochondrial retrograde signaling regulates miR663, which plays a key role in tumorigenesis, including regulating
