Tea and Blood–Brain Barrier Homeostasis: Potential Mechanisms and Improvement Strategies
Abstract The blood–brain barrier (BBB), a selective interface regulating cerebral substance exchange, plays a crucial role in maintaining cognitive function and metabolic balance. While tea consumption has been traditionally associated with health benefits, its specific effects on BBB integrity warrant systematic investigation. This review demonstrates

Efficient Synthesis of Narrowly Dispersed Brush Polymers via Living Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization of Macromonomers [PDF]
Various macromonomers (MMs) were efficiently synthesized through the copper-catalyzed “click” coupling of a norbornene moiety to the chain end of poly(methylacrylate), poly(t-butylacrylate), and polystyrene that were prepared using atom transfer radical ...

Use of monomeric and oligomeric flavanols in the dietary management of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and microalb [PDF]
__Background:__ Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) are prone to micro- and macro-vascular complications. Monomeric and oligomeric flavanols (MOF) isolated from grape seeds (Vitis vinifera) have been linked to improved endothelial function and ...

Regulation, sensory domains and roles of two Desulfovibrio desulfuricans ATCC27774 Crp family transcription factors, HcpR1 and HcpR2, in response to nitrosative stress [PDF]
In silico analyses identified a Crp/Fnr family transcription factor (HcpR) in sulfate-reducing bacteria that controls expression of the hcp gene, which encodes the hybrid cluster protein and contributes to nitrosative stress responses.

Flagellins as Vaccine Adjuvants and Cancer Immunotherapy: Recent Advances and Future Prospects
The figure depicts the role of flagellin in immune cells. Flagellin interacts with TLR5, resulting in the formation of homodimers and the recruitment of MyD88, which activates the IκB and MAPK signalling pathways. This results in the activation of NF‐κB and AP‐1, producing TNF‐α, IL‐6, IL‐8, and IL‐12.

This work investigates by the ROP process the chemical structure, thermal, optical and biocompatibility with living cells of the pyrene‐functionalized Py(PCL), Py(PLLA) homopolymers, and Py(PCL‐b‐PLLA) copolymers. It thoroughly confirms their stability, great fluorescence, and capacity to support MCF‐7 cell growth.

High prevalence of autoantibodies against monomeric C reactive protein (CRP) in children with PFAPA syndrome [PDF]
PFAPA (periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis, cervical adenitis) syndrome is an autoinflammatory disorder of unknown etiology. The aim of our study was to evaluate whether the presence of anti-mCRP autoantibodies (anti-mCRP) might possibly ...
