Live-cell visualization of intracellular interaction between a nuclear migration protein (hNUDC) and the thrombopoietin receptor (Mpl). [PDF]
We previously demonstrated that endogenous hNUDC and Mpl co-localized in the perinuclear and cytoplasmic regions of megakaryocyte cells by indirect immunofluorescence.

Understanding Operando Water Management in Hydroxide‐Exchange‐Membrane Fuel Cells
Effective water management is vital for high‐performance hydroxide‐exchange‐membrane fuel cells. Using a custom water‐flux station, this study quantifies how membrane thickness, microporous layers, and operating conditions dictate internal water transport.

The PTL–CL interface plays a decisive role in PEMWE performance by governing electron conduction, water supply, oxygen removal, catalyst utilization, and interfacial stability. This review summarizes interface‐related resistance sources, characterization methods, and engineering strategies, highlighting rational PTL–CL interface design for low‐cost ...

Penalized Likelihood-Based Estimation of Stratified Semiparametric Cox Models Under Partly Interval Censoring. [PDF]
ABSTRACT In survival data analysis, the stratified Cox model becomes a popular option when the proportional hazards assumption of the conventional Cox model does not hold for certain covariates. For a stratified Cox model, when the observed survival times contain only right censoring, the method of maximum partial likelihood can still be implemented ...

TPO/Mpl Studies in Agnogenic Myeloid Metaplasia
Background Agnogenic myeloid metaplasia (AMM) is one of the Philadelphia chromosome negative myeloproliferative disorder and is diagnosed by hyperplasia of atypical megakaryocytes, hepatosplenomegaly, extramedullary hematopoiesis and bone marrow fibrosis.

We apply ex situ and in situ scanning transmission X‐ray microscopy to reveal the structural degradation of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell catalyst layers due to conditioning and thermal heating of the catalyst coated membrane. We observe a redistribution of the ionomer and carbon‐black in the catalyst layer, as well as nanoscale membrane ...

The cathode of proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers remains a poorly understood region despite its importance for hydrogen purity and operational safety. Operando synchrotron X‐ray radiography directly visualizes liquid water behavior and uncovers a transition from continuous to pulsating transport, providing new insight into multiphase ...

Inhibition of Thrombopoietin/Mpl Signaling in Adult Hematopoiesis Identifies New Candidates for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Maintenance. [PDF]
Thrombopoietin (Thpo) signals via its receptor Mpl and regulates megakaryopoiesis, hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) maintenance and post-transplant expansion.

Real‐Time Monitoring of Mass and Mechanical Properties in Single Cells and Multicellular Spheroids
This study introduces photothermally actuated microcantilevers combined with optical microscopy to simultaneously measure morphology, mass, and mechanical properties of cellular systems in real‐time. The findings link cytoplasm‐dominated mechanical energy dissipation to the Q‐factor as a novel biophysical parameter.
