BioPhi: A platform for antibody design, humanization, and humanness evaluation based on natural antibody repertoires and deep learning

open access: yesmAbs, 2022
Despite recent advances in transgenic animal models and display technologies, humanization of mouse sequences remains one of the main routes for therapeutic antibody development.

Drug-like analogues of the parasitic worm-derived immunomodulator ES-62 are therapeutic in the MRL/Lpr model of systemic lupus erythematosus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Introduction ES-62, a phosphorylcholine (PC)-containing immunomodulator secreted by the parasitic worm Acanthocheilonema viteae, protects against nephritis in the MRL/Lpr mouse model of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Inhibition of EZH2 ameliorates lupus-like disease in MRL/lpr mice

open access: yesbioRxiv, 2018
Objectives We previously revealed a role for EZH2 in inducing pro-inflammatory epigenetic changes in lupus CD4+ T cells. In this study, we sought to determine if inhibiting EZH2 ameliorates lupus-like disease in MRL/lpr mice.

Residues of Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics Induce Carbonylation and Reduce In Vitro Digestion of Sarcoplasmic and Myofibrillar Beef Proteins

open access: yesFoods, 2020
Although the impact of oxidation on human health has been of growing interest, the oxidation of proteins, major component of meat, has received little attention.

Hypoxia‐inducible factor 1α (HIF‐1α) is a major determinant in the enhanced function of muscle‐derived progenitors from MRL/MpJ mice

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, 2019
Although the mouse strain Murphy Roths Large (MRL/MpJ) possesses high regenerative potential, the mechanism of tissue regeneration, including skeletal muscle, in MRL/MpJ mice after injury is still unclear.

Gene transfer of RANTES elicits autoimmune renal injury in MRL-Faslpr mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Infiltrating macrophages and T cells are instrumental in autoimmune kidney destruction of MRL-Faslpr mice. We report that the β-chemokine RANTES, a chemoattractant for macrophages and T cells, is up-regulated in the MRL-Faslpr kidney prior to injury, but

Sequential study of vasculitis in MRL mice [PDF]

open access: yesLaboratory Animals, 1987
The frequency, age of onset and organ distribution of spontaneously occurring vasculitis was examined in a sequential study with 170 MRL mice of both substrains. Necrotizing vasculitis was seen in 55·8% of MRL/Mp-lpr/lpr mice studied, beginning at the age of 3 months. The kidney and urinary bladder were most frequently involved.

The new complement inhibitor CRIg/FH ameliorates lupus nephritis in lupus-prone MRL/lpr mice

open access: yesBMC Nephrology, 2019
BackgroundsThe aberrant activation of complement system is critically involved in lupus nephropathy. Recent study showed complement C3 inhibitor was effective in the treatment of lupus nephropathy.

The Effect of Multiple Representation-Based Learning (MRL) to Increase Students’ Understanding of Chemical Bonding Concepts

open access: yesJurnal Pendidikan IPA Indonesia, 2018
This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of multiple representation-based learning (MRL) model compared to discovery learning (DL) model and problem based learning (PBL) model in terms of students’ initial abilities.

Functionally inactivated dominant viral antigens of human cytomegalovirus delivered in replication incompetent adenovirus type 6 vectors as vaccine candidates

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, 2017
T cell immunity is critical in controlling human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infection in transplant recipients, and T cells targeting viral immediate early proteins such as IE1, IE2 and pp65 have been speculated to be more effective against reactivation ...
