The tertiary structure of multi-epitope vaccines and immune simulation.

open access: yes, 2022
A) 3D structures of the multi-epitope vaccines were predicted by the Robetta webtool and validated by the ProSA-web server. The linear epitopes are colored using Jmol software.

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

Designing a multi-epitope influenza vaccine: an immunoinformatics approach

open access: yesScientific Reports
Influenza continues to be one of the top public health problems since it creates annual epidemics and can start a worldwide pandemic. The virus's rapid evolution allows the virus to evade the host defense, and then seasonal vaccines need to be reformulated nearly annually.

Construction of a multi-epitope protein for human Toxocara canis detection: Immunoinformatics approach multi-epitope construct for T. canis serodiagnosis

open access: yes, 2021
Toxocariasis is a global public health concern, particularly in children. Serological diagnosis of the infection is routinely applied to detect specific anti-Toxocara antibodies.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Protective multi-epitope candidate vaccine for urinary tract infection

open access: yesBiotechnology Reports, 2020
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are induced by exogenous organisms including extraintestinal pathogenic such as Escherichia coli (ExPEC), Proteus mirabilis and Klebsiella pneumonia, which are closely related. These organisms can colonize in the urinary tract and cause UTIs.

In-silico Design of Multi-epitope Vaccine against Nipah Virus using Immunoinformatics Approach

open access: yes, 2021
Nipah virus is a pleomorphic virus that causes high mortality with unpredictable outbreaks. The virus also shows high zoonotic potential with long term neurological damage after recovery further adding to the disease burden.

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

DataSheet_1_Exploring whole proteome to contrive multi-epitope-based vaccine for NeoCoV: An immunoinformtics and in-silico approach.docx

open access: yes, 2022
Neo-Coronavirus (NeoCoV) is a novel Betacoronavirus (β-CoVs or Beta-CoVs) discovered in bat specimens in South Africa during 2011. The viral sequence is highly similar to Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, particularly that of structural proteins.
