Safe, Remote-Access Swarm Robotics Research on the Robotarium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper describes the development of the Robotarium -- a remotely accessible, multi-robot research facility. The impetus behind the Robotarium is that multi-robot testbeds constitute an integral and essential part of the multi-agent research cycle ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

Multi-Robot Leader Grouping Consistent Formation Control Method Research with Low Convergence Time Based on Nonholonomic Constraints

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Aiming at the formation and maintenance of the multiple formations of nonholonomic constrained multi-robots, a leader-follower formation control method under the grouping consistency is proposed on the trajectory tracking of a nonholonomic constrained ...

Multi-robot cognitive formations [PDF]

open access: yes2012 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2012
In this paper, we show how a team of autonomous mobile robots, which drive in formation, can be endowed with basic cognitive capabilities. The formation control relies on the leader-follower strategy, with three main pair-wise configurations: column, line and oblique.

Effects of spatial ability on multi-robot control tasks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Working with large teams of robots is a very complex and demanding task for any operator and individual differences in spatial ability could significantly affect that performance.

Towards Optimally Decentralized Multi-Robot Collision Avoidance via Deep Reinforcement Learning [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2017
Developing a safe and efficient collision avoidance policy for multiple robots is challenging in the decentralized scenarios where each robot generates its paths without observing other robots' states and intents.

Novel Implementation of Multi-Robot Space Exploration Utilizing Coordinated Multi-Robot Exploration and Frequency Modified Whale Optimization Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Multi-robot space exploration involves building a finite map utilizing a cluster of robots in an obstacle cluttered environment. The uncertainties are minimized by assigning tasks among robots and computing the optimum action.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

k-Color Multi-Robot Motion Planning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present a simple and natural extension of the multi-robot motion planning problem where the robots are partitioned into groups (colors), such that in each group the robots are interchangeable.

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...
