Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Secure Key Establishment Mechanism for Smart Sensing System Based Robots Network

open access: yesSensors, 2020
The smart robot is playing an increasingly important role in the social economy, and multi-robot systems will be an important development in robotics. With smart sensing systems, the communications between sensors, actuators, and edge computing systems ...

Motion Planning for Multi-Robot Assembly Systems [PDF]

open access: yesVolume 1: 25th Design Automation Conference, 1999
Abstract This paper addresses a multi-robot optimal assembly planning problem which in essence is an augmented Travelling Salesperson Problem (TSP+). In our TSP+, both the “salesperson” (a robot with a tool) as well as the “cities” (another robot with a workpiece) move.

Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

GenSwarm: Scalable Multi-Robot Code-Policy Generation and Deployment via Language Models

open access: yesnpj Robotics
The development of control policies for multi-robot systems traditionally follows a complex and labor-intensive process, often lacking the flexibility to adapt to dynamic tasks.

Communication Complexity of Multi-robot Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We examine the scalability of multi-robot algorithms. In particular, we attempt to capture the idea that the less coordination a multi-robot system requires, the better it should scale to large numbers of robots. To that end, we introduce a notion of communication complexity of multi-robot (or more generally, distributed control) systems as a surrogate

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Directed Graph Topology Preservation in Multi-Robot Systems With Limited Field of View Using Control Barrier Functions

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper addresses the crucial challenge of maintaining the directed graph topology in multi-robot systems, particularly when operating under limited field-of-view constraints and with a lack of communication among robots. Traditional methods for multi-
