Copine‐4 Paraneoplastic Autoimmune Encephalitis
ABSTRACT We characterize copine‐4 (CPNE4)‐IgG and report clinical associations. Among 844 samples with unclassified neural IgGs identified by mouse‐brain indirect immunofluorescence assay over 2 years, 5 samples (serum, 3; CSF, 2) from 3 patients produced a distinctive cerebrum‐restricted synaptic pattern.

Diffusion Basis Spectrum Imaging of Tissue Microstructure and Early Treatment in Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Objective Conventional MRI cannot resolve the coexisting pathological processes within multiple sclerosis tissue. Diffusion Basis Spectrum Imaging decomposes the diffusion signal into fiber, cell, and hindered ratios indexing axonal integrity, cellularity, and extracellular space, respectively.

Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Receptor Agonists in Multiple Sclerosis: A Topical Narrative Review
ABSTRACT The glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1) receptor agonists (RAs) are a relatively new class of drugs that were initially approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and, subsequently, weight reduction in patients with obesity.

Investigation of Complement Activation and Cytokine Signatures in AQP4+ NMOSD, MOGAD, and MS
ABSTRACT Objective Aquaporin‐4‐IgG seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4+ NMOSD), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD), and multiple sclerosis (MS) are pathophysiologically distinct neuroinflammatory disorders. Complement activation is a major mechanism of injury in AQP4+ NMOSD, whereas its role in

ABSTRACT Background Dysregulated lipid metabolism, which can affect remyelination and neural repair, has not been extensively investigated in progressive multiple sclerosis (PMS). The goal was to examine whether dysregulated cholesterol metabolism was associated with disability in PMS. Methods The study sample comprised 53 Severe PMS patients (Expanded

Stage‐Specific Patterns of Imaging and Non‐Motor Biomarkers in Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 3
ABSTRACT Objective Advancements in disease‐modifying therapies for spinocerebellar ataxia Type 3 (SCA3) underscore the need for robust biomarkers to monitor disease progression and evaluate treatment efficacy. Although motor phenotypes have been well characterized, less is known about non‐motor and imaging‐based features across different disease stages.

Efficacy of Fampridine on Refractory Optic Neuritis in Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) usually occur with acute refractory optic neuritis (ON). However, there is a lack of efficacious treatments to improve recovery. Since fampridine has been found to improve the prognosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) and MS‐related ON, it is necessary to explore the efficacy of fampridine ...

Parkinson Disease Subtype Stability and Eventual Convergence
ABSTRACT Objective Previous research identified distinct Parkinson disease (PD) clinical subtypes of “Motor Only,” “Psychiatric & Motor,” and “Cognitive & Motor” based on comprehensive, multidomain classification. Whether these subtypes reflect distinct trajectories or progressive disease stages remains unknown.

Anorectal Dysfunction in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Phenotypes and Functional Patterns
Objective The aim of this study was to characterize specific physiologic defects in anorectal dysfunction in systemic sclerosis (SSc) using anorectal manometry (ARM), evaluate associations with gastrointestinal (GI) and extraintestinal clinical phenotypes, and explore potential serologic markers for risk stratification.

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...
