Multiplex polymerase chain reaction for sex determination of single mouse blastomeres
Molecular Human Reproduction, 1995Using a multiplex nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method with single copy genes and a dinucleotide repeat locus for the mouse Y and X chromosomes respectively, it was possible to discriminate between single cells derived from male and female embryos. Using single cells, amplification of Sry and Zfy sequences was not evident in all cases.

Development and Application of a Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction for Avian Respiratory Agents
Avian Diseases, 2002A multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was developed and optimized to simultaneously detect 6 avian respiratory pathogens. Six sets of specific oligonucleotide primers for infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), avian influenza virus (AIV), infectious laryngotracheitis virus (ILTV), Newcastle disease virus (NDV), Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG), and ...

Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction Diagnostics of Bed Bug (Hemiptera: Cimicidae)
Journal of Medical Entomology, 2011Cimex lectularius L. (Hemiptera: Cimicidae) is a widespread blood feeding pest of humans around the world, including North America, and has recently undergone a resurgence. A molecular diagnostic technique applying multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was developed to distinguish bed bug eggs, leg fragments, and degraded samples from other ...

Utility of multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in diarrhea—An Indian perspective
Indian Journal of Gastroenterology, 2018Infective diarrhea causes morbidity worldwide. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based pathogen diagnostics of diarrheal stool specimens are shown to be highly sensitive and rapid as opposed to conventional diagnostics. We analyzed the performance of FilmArray gastrointestinal (GI) panel, one such multiplex PCR test, on stool specimens in patients ...

[Detection of bacterial meningitis by multiplex polymerase chain reaction].
Zhongguo yi miao he mian yi, 2010To develop a rapid method for detecting 8 pathogens which were highly related to bacterial meningitis by multiplex polymerase chain reaction.By optimizing the reaction condition and amplification program of single pair polymerase chain reaction, the multiplex pairs polymerase chain reactions (M-PCR) was developed to identify eight pathogens ...
