The Role of γδ T Cells in Ischemic Stroke: Insights From the Perspective of the Brain–Gut Axis
γδ T cells are pivotal in ischemic stroke, directly promoting brain inflammation and indirectly amplifying injury via the brain–gut axis. Through IL‐17 release, they disrupt the intestinal barrier, facilitating a harmful crosstalk that worsens stroke outcomes. Targeting this brain–gut immune axis presents a promising therapeutic strategy.
