An electrochemical interferon‐gamma (IFN‐γ) aptasensor is developed with L‐cysteine‐indium telluriselenide quantum dot (QD) and 24 mer guanine‐thymine DNA aptamer. The aptasensor exhibits high sensitivity in buffer and human serum samples. From calibration analysis, the limit of detection of the aptasensor is 0.312 pg mL−1 IFN‐γ, which indicates good ...

Out-of-Africa migration and Neolithic co-expansion of Mycobacterium tuberculosis with modern humans
Tuberculosis caused 20% of all human deaths in the Western world between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries and remains a cause of high mortality in developing countries. In analogy to other crowd diseases, the origin of human tuberculosis has been

Abstract FtsZ forms a ring‐like assembly at the site of division in bacteria. It is the first protein involved in the formation of the divisome complex to split the cell into two halves, indicating its importance in bacterial cell division. FtsZ is an attractive target for developing new anti‐microbial drugs to overcome the challenges of antibiotic ...

A series of 14 novel 1,4‐benzoxazinone derivatives is tested against various strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. All compounds show high activity against all tested strains, particularly the resistant strains. Additionally, the novel derivatives exhibit low cytotoxicity toward mammalian Vero cells.
