CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

Paradigm shift in dendritic cell-based immunotherapy: from in vitro generated monocyte-derived DCs to naturally circulating DC subsets

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2014
Dendritic cell-based immunotherapy employs the patients’ immune system to fight neoplastic lesions spread over the entire body. This makes it an important therapy option for patients suffering from metastatic melanoma, which is often resistant to ...

Engineering Osteoimmune Responses with Functionalized Orthopedic Implants for Post‐Operative Osteosarcoma Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Osteosarcoma is the most common primary bone tumor with limited treatment options and a terrible prognosis. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the recent development of osteoimmunomodulatory implants for post‐operative osteosarcoma treatment, of which the potential utility in evoking durable anti‐osteosarcoma immunity and accelerating bone

Isolation and Characterisation of Dendritic Cells from Peripheral Blood

open access: yesBio-Protocol, 2014
Latency and reactivation of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is intimately associated with the myeloid lineage. Multiple studies have used in vitro protocols to generate dendritic cells (DCs) from myeloid precursors.

Spatial Profiling Reveals Distinct Molecular and Immune Evolution of Mouse Lung Adenocarcinoma Precancers with or Without Carcinogen Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor evolution in lung adenocarcinoma is shaped by genetic alterations and spatial immune dynamics. By integrating whole‐exome sequencing, imaging mass cytometry, and spatial transcriptomics across two mouse models, this study reveals how mutational burden, immune infiltration, and cell–state interactions evolve during early and late carcinogenesis ...

IL-4 downregulates gap junction protein connexin 26 to promote HIV-1 infection in macrophages

open access: yesmBio
Macrophages and dendritic cells (DCs) are important targets for HIV-1 replication in vivo. Myeloid cells are collectively more resistant to HIV-1 infection than CD4+ T lymphocytes, but interleukin (IL)-4 has been observed to promote macrophage ...

Characteristics of Tip-DCs and MDSCs and their potential role in leishmaniasis

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2012
Since the first description of dendritic cells (DCs) by Ralph Marvin Steinman and Zanvil Alexander Cohn in 1973, the myeloid lineage of leukocytes was investigated intensively.

DCAF13 Safeguards Hematopoietic Stem Cells via RRS1‐Regulated Ribosome Biogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes DCAF13 as an essential regulator for hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) function. Its deletion in mice causes lethal pancytopenia and HSC depletion. Mechanistically, DCAF13 interacts with RRS1 and mediates its non‐degradative K27‐linked ubiquitination, thereby stabilizing RRS1 to maintain ribosome biogenesis and protein translation ...

APOE‐stratified Proteomic and Metabolomic Analysis Reveals Mitochondrial Dysfunction Inflammation and Lipid Dysregulation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large‐scale multiomic dataset (proteomic and metabolomic) comprising 3,060 plasma samples were analyzed to identify proteins, metabolites, pathways, and protein‐associated drugs linked to Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) independently of apolipoprotein E (APOE). AD was associated with a distinct molecular signature that captures.
