Indole-3-butyric acid and myo-inositol impacts on in vitro rooting of the cherry rootstocks CAB-6P and Gisela 6

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2013
The present study investigates the effects of indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) alone and in combination with myo-inositol on in vitro rooting and biochemical responses in the cherry rootstocks CAB-6P (Prunus cerasus L.) and Gisela 6 (Prunus cerasus × Prunus ...

Enzymatic assay of myo-inositol in serum [PDF]

open access: yesFresenius' Zeitschrift für analytische Chemie, 1986
An enzymatic spectrophotometric method for determination of myo-inositol in serum is described. The method is sensitive and rapid to perform without special equipment. Linearity between the amount of myo-inositol and absorbance was obtained in the range of 0.5 to 3 nmol myo-inositol per assay.

Influence of genetic diversity, drought stress and rhizobial symbiosis on the nutritional quality of common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) grain

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Legumes are the primary source of plant protein in both human and livestock diets and, therefore, play an essential role in nutrition. Common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) is a grain legume widely used in animal feed. Its nutritional properties, particularly its high protein content, make it an adequate component to enrich feedstuffs ...

A comparative study of combination of Myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol versus Metformin in the management of polycystic ovary syndrome in obese women with infertility

open access: yesРепродуктивная эндокринология, 2020
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a symptom complex associated with increased amounts of circulating androgens in females, increased insulin resistance and obesity. The drugs, Myo-inositol, D-chiro-inositol and Metformin, which are insulin sensitizers,

Spectral Representation of Neurochemicals With Phase, Frequency Offset, and Lineshape Invariance: Application to JPRESS for In Vivo Concentration and T2 Mapping by Deep Learning

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Using artificial intelligence neural networks to generate a representation that maps the input directly to neurochemical concentrations and metabolite‐level average transverse relaxation times (T2). Methods The proposed model used time‐domain JPRESS data as input and was trained to be invariant to phase shifts, frequency offsets, and ...

Therapeutic Potential of Myo-Inositol in Male Infertility: Correction of Spermatogenesis Parameters and Oxidative Stress (Review)

open access: yesБезопасность и риск фармакотерапии
INTRODUCTION. Male infertility, in particular reproductive system deficiency, is often associated with oxidative stress. Myo-inositol antioxidant properties are essential for various biochemical and cellular processes in spermatozoa; for example, they ...

Effect of Water Suppression and Metabolite Cycling on Quantification of 1H MRS Spectra in the Human Brain at 3 Tesla

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose This study investigates the effect of VAPOR water suppression and metabolite cycling on metabolite quantification and macromolecules in proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Methods Single‐voxel semi‐LASER spectra (TR/TE = 3000/28 ms) and metabolite‐nulled spectra (macromolecules) were acquired in five healthy subjects in the ...

Alterations in Metabolites Associated With Umbilical Cord Blood in Monozygotic Twins Discordant for Congenital Heart Disease

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
This study found that the metabolomic signature of umbilical venous cord blood in congenital heart disease (CHD) differs from that of healthy monozygotic (MZ) co‐twins. Dysregulation of metabolic pathways like glucose, lipid, and amino acid metabolism, along with altered metabolites, helps understand CHD predisposition.

Proteome Analysis of Corynebacterium diphtheriae–Macrophage Interaction

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Contact of Corynebacterium diphtheriae with macrophages induces adaptations on both bacterial and cellular sides. The study presented here was aiming to shed light on the simultaneous intracellular adaptation of the bacteria and changes in the proteome of the phagocytes in response to the internalization of C. diphtheriae.

Effects of different supplements on Hashimoto’s thyroiditis: a systematic review and network meta-analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
Clinicians often consider the use of dietary supplements to assist in lowering thyroid autoantibody titres in patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT). Currently, different supplements differ in their ability to reduce autoantibody levels.
